Our Revelstoke Winter Getaway with The Sutton Place & Revelstoke Mountain Resort – Loving Littles
We have a little bit of a family getaway trend happening over here, Winer vacations is where we are having the most fun right now. We love the magical sights of snow and mountains. Plus, we just really love getting outside in it and enjoying the beautiful areas we live near.
Our most recent trip was visiting a new place to us but not too far from home, Revelstoke. It’s about a 5 hour road trip and one of the longer ones for us. We were very lucky in test driving the new 2020 Acura MDX. Having those winter tires was the true test for this Winter getaway and very thankful we had them. The kids didn’t mind the movies in the back which was the first time they ever got to experience that which was a huge treat for them!
This little village is defiantly a new favourite and can’t wait to visit in the Summer. There is so much to do and explore throughout this whole area. When we first got into Revelstoke we visited Mount Revelstoke Park & Glacier Park. Both gorgeous, scenic drives.
We then headed straight to Revelstoke Mountain Resort and our home for the two nights at The Sutton Place. Such a nice stay. It was one of the most relaxing and easy going places we’ve been to. It’s Revelstokes only ski in ski out resort. So it was just the best to wake up in the morning grab the gear and head straight for the Revelation Gondola. Fully equipped with a rental store and lessons.
Located in this little resort village are three different restaurants, a spa, childcare and store. Our first night we enjoyed a fun family dinner at the Rockford for wing night. SO GOOD! Drew keeps telling me how much he loved the wings. Great service and totally family friendly for the kids. Plus, the mountain views from the surrounding windows was a total bonus.
The Sutton Place is loaded with just about everything you need for any family getaway. Not only is it a walking distance to the mountain but it also has a washer and dryer inside the room, full kitchen, bathrooms, rooms, pull out coach beds and full living rooms. It was such a cozy stay!
Kids slept in every morning and just enjoyed the quality time. There are also two hot tubs and a pool. Not to mention the surrounding mountain views! Complimentary coffee and tea to! Doesn’t get much better than that.
This Winter getaway was quite honestly the most relaxing trip we’ve had and The Sutton Place was stay that I know we’ll be enjoying again one day soon. We highly recommend visiting this quaint little village and town. The atmosphere and energy is enough to make us move there! We just loved it so much.
