January, 2019 | Loving Littles
This topic has been on my ever revolving social media mind for some time now. Picking and choosing Hashtags. How to know which ones will rock. Figuring out the novel list long of rules we all need to consider when posting hashtags with our photos. Yes, hashtags are a great way for our posts to get seen and skyrocket. But they can also led to things like being Shadowbanned. Which is not fun!

Creating a Cozy Reading Corner with JYSK
Our family loves to create cozy spaces. Whether it’s with blankets, dim lights and movies. We love cozy & comfy spots in our home. We are always trying to create that “cozy” feel. One thing that has been on my list to-do for some time now has been to create a cozy reading corner. Just for me and possibly the rest of my family! But this one I had thought to dedicate just for myself. If I strangely ever get some quiet time I’d like to have that little space just for me to cozy into and just chill. And if children like to join me and relax then even more of a reason to do this!

To be real honest, I had no idea how easy Crepes were until this morning when the family asked for waffles!! hahaha Waffles seemed like a lot more work so out of lazy-ness and wanting to try something different I started peeking at some Crepe recipes. After noticing I had thankfully all the ingredients I just started it without thinking too much about it.
Surprisingly I always thought Crepes were this totally tricky thing that I just thought I would fail. So this morning it went wayyy better than I thought and defiantly way easier. One thing that I did notice though for this recipe I would double it because this was not enough to fill our bellies.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 Cup Almond Milk
- 1 Cup Flour
- 2 Eggs
- 1 TBSP Oil
- 2 TBSP Sugar
- 1 TSP Vanilla
Directions
- Mix all dry ingredients together.
- Slowly add all other ingredients and mix with the blender until a smooth consistency.
- Warm your pan, I used the large Paderno pan. Also added a little bit of butter to help with non-sticking.
- Slowly I poured a half cup of mix into the warm pan and spread the mix to make it really thin.
- Cook one side for close to two minutes and flip!
- Spread and enjoy with jam, nutella, fruit! Anything really! We used some maple syrup and Klaassen Farms Blueberry Jam!
Defiantly be prepared to make an extra batch, so maybe double the recipe. Whatever leftovers we have (if we have any) I usually freeze for the next day and early breakfast before school for Owen!
I totally changed my perspective on making crepes. I mean they’re no IHOP but they are still the real deal! Enjoy and let me know if you try the recipe and how it works for you!

It’s all about the little ones this year, and sharing the love on Valentines Day. Celebrating something sweet and meaningful. I love to show the kids some fun and treats on this day and leading up to it. I love that it doesn’t have to be about presents and all about treats. To me it’s about showing them the fun in the day, to celebrate people we love everyday. Appreciation for relationships that matter in our life. And while doing that making it fun and creative!

Okayyyyyy! I’ve started the Valentines Day vibes over here. I’m not one to celebrate every little holiday but I always make a exception for of course Christmas and Valentines Day. Which is something basically imprinted from a very young age with my mother!
I love to be able to create something small and something thats fun and different for the kids to enjoy. Doesn’t always have to be big and beautiful. Or expensive. Something they can do with me.
Today Ella and I had some quiet time and put together some fun things to celebrate. These Tic Tac Toe treats you can enjoy for yourself or even treat your friends. Easy to make and fun to play with!

If there is one thing blatantly obvious in our home, it’s the fact that I love lamps. I’m a sucker for that dim cozy light in every room you walk into. Soft and soothing, it’s just so relaxing to me. Every room in our home has a lamp. With that comes a large amount of light bulbs. Every light bulb in our home does get recycled properly thanks to learning more about light recycling. But like myself, I’m sure you have some questions and need a little help in the right direction when it comes to recycling light bulbs. Where to take them? Why we do it? The benefits?

It’s finished!! Feels like it’s been taking some time, but once you see how much we had to do you will understand why. Everything that was here when we moved in was original. We loved that we could learn and change some things to personalize our home a little more for ourselves.
Drew had SO much help from one of his friends, taking apart the floor and installing new floors. Once they finished all that hard work. We decided to give the walls a fresh new coat of paint. Along with a new railing and furniture to give this little space new life. We have never done floors before. So Drew learnt a lot during this process. Excited to try and tackle others in the home now!
Turned out just the way I wanted it to. Loving every bit of it. The after part that is! Take a peek below…
